During the first two years of secondary education, students access a broad range of courses that provide the foundational knowledge and skills for further study in subsequent years.
Targeted literacy and numeracy benchmarks across Year levels and within each Key Learning Area, provide a significant focus for student development in securing skills for later study.
Year 7 participate in NAPLAN testing each year.
The STAR (Student Transition and Resilience) Programme offered in Year 7 seeks to provide students with a range of skills in alternative thinking and problem solving strategies.
