A three-time Archibald Prize finalist artist Marikit Santiago (ex Mercy Student from Class of 2003) has won the $80,000 La Prairie art award, which will see two of her works join the Art Gallery of NSW (AGNSW) collection and send the artist to Europe in June for a residency that will include time at Switzerland’s prestigious Art Basel international art fair.
