Safer Internet Day
Safer Internet Day was help on Tuesday 11 February, it is a global day of action bringing communities, schools, organisations and families from more than 180 countries together to raise awareness of online safety issues and work towards a safer internet. The eSafety Commissioner leads the day in Australia and they are calling on all Australians to help make the internet a safer, and more positive place. Taking Action in 5 Steps:
- Be Kind – practice respect, empathy and kindness online
- Be Mindful – balance your time online and consume and share positive and respectful content
- Speak up – report online abuse and harmful content to the platform and eSafety
- Start the conversation – talk about safety with your networks and communities, family, friends, and colleagues.
- Share resources – promote online safety tools and tips with your community.
